10th Anniversary


    How do you begin a decade’s journey of delivering excellence in events?

    By sheer chance and the will power to finish what you have begun. Founders Mr Shahul Hameed Dawood and Mr Abdul Kabur took over the reins of their first ever event when the event planners they hired quit halfway.


    Our humble journey began in 2006 as a Dawood Holding subsidiary initiated by the two partners in the bustling town of Lebuh Ampang. Located in a 450 sqft shop lot office equipped with just one computer and a cyber café for paperwork printing, My Events began.


    We strengthened our presence with the support of our Dawood Holdings subsidiaries: People Source, a recruitment company specializing in contract and temporary workforce and Dawood Tours & Travels, a logistics and transportation company. In a representation of our vibrancy and creativity, we chose a colourful logo to signify us.


    Our founders’ determination pushed through thick and thin, and My Events team grew gradually by the following year. YB Khairy Jamaluddin launched our first ever official event, MY Career & Education Fair 2007.


    Hard work and dedication led to a breakthrough in 2009, when our headquarters moved its operation to a 3000 sqft office at Bangunan KWSP in Raja Chulan Street, Kuala Lumpur. The manpower grew double the number and we broke into international platform by organizing International Muslim Unity Convention in collaboration with Ramadhan Foundation, an Islamic NGO based in London.


    2012 – 2013 were the years of our highlight moments. Team Dawood Holdings grew to 45 staffs and we successfully launched two of our international branches, in Dubai and India respectively. Following this international benchmark, our brand name was restructured to “My Events International”.


    Our forte in research, sales and content creation have made us stand out and ensured that we are more than just an events company. We deliver beyond expectation; we deliver events excellence. We are the only events company specializing in Public Private Partnership (PPP), providing the strongest synergy to ensure it’s a win-win situation for our clients. We’ve grown gradually as a Dawood subsidiary since 2006, alongside the new subsidiaries: a design and construction company called Piramid Megamas, a tech development company called Ping Tech, and an associate company specializing in exhibition equipment called Expert Exhibitors.


    Seven years after establishment, we moved to the industrial town of Puchong; coincidently setting up base close to where it all begun, a little restaurant called Restaurant Ben Maju where our founders dined as they came up with our name. It’s our event, so it’s “My Events”, they decided.


    We are pleased to say our events have been graced by local and international top ministry leaders and royalties over the years. Some of the renowned events that we have organized include MAHA 2010, Global Leadership Awards, Global Branding Awards, Malaysian Social Media Week, Middle East Business Leaders Awards, Buka Puasa Perdana, BioMalaysia, Pangkor Dialogue, Utusan Business Awards and many more.


    This year we proudly celebrate our official 10th year anniversary. Rebranding our image to honour this benchmark, we chose blue and orange as our signature theme and relocated our headquarters to a 10,000 sqft office at Bandar Kinrara.


    Today, our presence has touched global standards. Expanding our foothold, we are launching our next branch at London, United Kingdom. Our team has grown considerably since 2006 and we have a bigger support system. We have organized hundreds of events, we have set our mark in the industry and now, we are on the way to creating a global footprint by delivering excellence.
